When our friends Laura Powers (of Laura Powers Photo) and Beth of Joon Bridal asked us to create a colorful bouquet for an editorial shoot for The Graduate Hotel we didn't even take a breath before saying YES! Quirky, colorful explosion of spring florals? Could we BE anymore thrilled? With a Leanne Marshall gown? And for such a fun hotel as The Graduate? Forget about it.

We knew we wanted bright and tonal florals in minimal shades.. so we focused on yellows and purples with a single pop of a cadmium. Inspired by yellow mimosa season, we grabbed this chance to use these petite golden pompoms and paired them with yellow tulips and Icelandic poppies. For our lavender and purple tones we focused on fragrant sweet peas and giant ranunculus with clematis added for it's distinct floret. And that pop of cadmium? A single orange poppy, for a perfect dramatic touch.
