We debated our ability to do this Editorial shoot for Likewise Community + Coworking because of several factors. To start with, it was March of 2020. The world was spiraling, Events were canceling left and right, Cities were shutting down, and to top it off I was 6 weeks away from my due date with my sweet baby. But in the end we decided we would pursue this amazing shoot. Little did we know this would be the last time we would all spend time together for many many MANY months.
So, cheers to Laura Powers for her incredible photography, and Maddie of Sonnet Weddings, who put together this entire vendor team in the face of a global pandemic to squeeze out one last editorial before Covid took over. And as they say, "the rest is history.."
For the florals we were elated to design spring floral pillars consisting of foraged forsythia and flowering pear. Paired with giant roses, ranunculus, tulips and anemone we felt like they showcased some of the best of spring!
For Jaydinn's Bouquet we tucked in fragrant lilac and sweet peas into foraged pear blossoms. And accented with bright red tulips, huge Icelandic poppies and salmon ranunculus, creating one of my favorite bouquets to date. Finished with a draping blush ribbon, matching perfectly to a simple sweet pea and jasmine Boutonniere.
To keep everything clean and modern, we flowered the table with a simple collection of Bud Vases and a Pin-frog Arrangement in a low glass vessel, accenting the industrial style of the venue and minimalist table design.
